DAYCARE POLICIES
1) All dogs must be up-to-date on vaccinations. Owners must submit written proof that dogs have received the required vaccinations within the specified time period recommended by a veterinarian.
2) All dogs must be current on flea treatment and prevention year-round.
3) All dogs must be spayed or neutered by roughly 6 months of age. Gusty gorge advocates spaying or neutering as soon as possible for happier, healthier dogs!
4) If your dog has tested positive for a communicable disease within the last thirty (30) Days, owner must submit documentation of good health from their veterinarian prior to booking.
5) Dogs must have a current daycare/boarding INTAKE FORM on file. All dogs must display health and temperament characteristics that are conducive to a fun, safe daycare/boarding environment. We reserve the right to refuse service or terminate service at any time without prior notice, for any reason.
6) Reservations are required.
7) Payment in full for all charges incurred is due upon pick-up. Please note that a deposit or prepayment may be required for some services.
8) Daycare dogs must be picked up before closing (6:00 PM).
9) In the event a dog requires emergency veterinary care while at Gusty Gorge, our staff will seek immediate emergency veterinary treatment for your pet. Owner agrees to assume full financial responsibility for all expenses incurred.
10) Skirmishes between dogs may occur during boarding. In the event that injuries result from such interactions, owners agree to assume full financial responsibility for expenses incurred in treating their own pet.
11) Intact male dogs are welcome up to 8 months of age - welcome back AFTER neutered.
BOARDING POLICIES
1) Reservations are required. Reservations will be dependent on space availability. Preference will be given to dogs with regular standing reservations.
2) Payment is due in full upon arrival, unless other arrangements have been made for your dog’s stay. Payment may be made either by credit card, debit card, cash or electronically online via the website. Gusty Gorge reserves the right to refuse a refund of any amount for an early pick up. If a longer stay is being requested, please know that we will only be able to accommodate an extended stay if space is available. Please note that extensions will incur an additional fee based on the length of the extension and the availability of accommodations.
3) Cancellation policy: please call to cancel as soon as you know you will not be bringing your dog for boarding. 48 hours’ notice is required to avoid being charged for your stay.
4) If your dog is not feeling well (coughing, diarrhea, etc.) please call us prior to bringing your dog for boarding, as we are unable to accommodate dogs that are ill. If your dog becomes ill while at Gusty Gorge, we will seek veterinary care at your expense.
5) In the event your dog requires emergency veterinary care while being boarded, it will be handled as deemed best by our daycare staff. You agree to assume full financial responsibility for any expenses involved.
6) Even though all dogs attending our daycare/boarding must receive their Bordatella vaccination every 6-12 months, there is still a possibility they might contract a different strain of kennel cough. Popular boarding times, such as holidays, do pose a greater risk of kennel cough showing up.
7) While boarding your dog, it is important to keep him/her on the same food they are fed regularly at home. Sudden changes in food can lead to diarrhea and discomfort. Therefore, it is necessary for you to bring enough his/her regular food to last the entire stay. If you forget their food or prefer that they eat ours, there will be a $1/day food charge.
8) INTACT FEMALES: Welcome, unless she is in heat. If you have an intact female and she comes into heat while in our care, please note that Gusty Gorge will charge an additional fee of $10.00 per day for daycare and $15.00 per night for overnight stays.
Please note that your intact female may be kenneled during her stay.
9) INTACT MALES: Welcome up to eight (8) months of age. Welcome back AFTER neutered.
10) Gusty Gorge strives to accommodate the needs and safety of all dogs entrusted in our care. However, under some circumstances, we may need to arrange for an earlier pickup time to keep the peace!
AFTER-HOURS PICKUP POLICY
Prior to booking your pet’s stay at Gusty Gorge, please take a moment to review the terms and conditions of our After-Hours Pickup Policy below.
ORDINARY BUSINESS HOURS are between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM.
If you require pickup outside that time frame, please fill out the Inquiry Form to determine whether Gusty Gorge is able to accommodate your needs.
This will ensure that there is no confusion about dates and times for picking up your pet(s).
Please note that the owner requesting after-hours pickup must make specific arrangements prior to booking to determine whether Gusty Gorge is able to accommodate a pickup time that is after 6:00 PM.
We at Gusty Gorge understand that there may be days and times when you are running late or are unable to pickup your pet at the scheduled time.
In the event that after-hours arrangements are required, please note that an additional hourly fee will be charged.
AGREEMENT & RELEASE
1. I AFFIRM that my dog is healthy AND has the required vaccinations on file.
2. I AFFIRM that my dog has not harmed or shown aggression towards people or other dogs.
3. If I cannot be reached by phone, I agree to allow the staff at Gusty Gorge to transport my dog to a veterinarian for treatment of any sickness, symptoms, or injuries that occur during daycare/boarding. I also agree to pay for all expenses for any veterinary services or on-site services that result from that occurrence.
